Tropical Storm Beryl formed over the Atlantic Ocean as of 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
We aren’t too worried about this system, but will be monitoring it over the coming days.
A few things could help to break this system down: dry air, only marginally warm sea surface temperatures, and strong wind shear.
Beryl will eventually move in to some of those unfavorable conditions for further strengthening/development late this weekend. It’s very likely the storm falls apart prior to making it to the Lesser Antilles.
The Atlantic hurricane season continues through November with the peak in September. We will continue to watch the tropics carefully over the next few months. For now, no worries!!
