Troopers ask for public's help in finding hit-and-run driver in Clinton crash

The North Carolina Highway Patrol is asking for the public's help to find the driver involved in a hit-and-run incident on Friday that injured one person.

SHP responded around 7:27 a.m. to a crash on Reedsford Road near Melvabrook Drive, a few miles south of Clinton.

Upon arrival, they discovered a 32-year-old woman was struck by a white car while walking down the shoulder of Reedsford Road.

The woman was flown to Wake Med with serious injuries.

The white passenger car was traveling east on Reedsford Road, the Highway Patrol said. It left the scene after the collision and was last seen going east towards Beaman Woods Road.

The car is believed to be a 2009 – 2014 Acura TL and should have a missing passenger side mirror.
