Wake County schools to dismiss early due to potential snow
Many schools in central North Carolina are closing early on Monday due to impending snow.
Wake County Public Schools will close three hours early.
Durham and Chatham County Public Schools and Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools will close two hours early.
Due to the potential for hazardous driving conditions this afternoon, Durham Public Schools will close two hours early for students and staff today, Monday, March 12. All evening and after-school activities are canceled.

Orange County Public Schools will also close early. According to officials, Orange elementary schools will release at 11 a.m., middle schools will release at 12 p.m. and high schools will release at 12:30 p.m.
The early dismissal cancels after-school activities.
