Toddler OK after falling three stories from Cary apartment

A 2-year-old girl fell three stories from a Cary apartment on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

The toddler was taken to WakeMed as a precaution and was released after a few hours, authorities said.

She fell out of an apartment window shortly before 2 p.m. at 2900 Waterford Forest Circle, near the intersection of NW Maynard Road and High House Road, authorities said.

The incident remains under investigation.

Two months ago, a 16-month-old fell from a second-story apartment in Raleigh.
