Today@NCCapitol (Sep. 21): Bonds, economic development on agenda
Good morning and welcome to Today@NCCapitol for Monday, Sept. 21. Here's what's going on at the General Assembly and around state government.
HOUSE: The state House meets at 10 a.m. No votes are scheduled.
BONDS: The Senate Finance Committee will take up a long-anticipated bond package at 4 p.m.. The House has already passed its own version of a bonds bill this summer.
AG: State Sen. Josh Stein, D-Wake, will formally announce he is running for attorney general after previewing his announcement on Sunday. State Sen. Buck Newton, R-Wilson, is running for the Republican nomination.
SENATE: The state Senate meets at 7 p.m. It is scheduled to take up a package of economic development incentives as well as a measure redefining an "expert" for the purposes of signing off on sexual education curriculum for public schools.
MCCRORY: Gov. Pat McCrory makes an economic development announcement in Kinston at 2 p.m.
