Here's what's happening in the General Assembly on Tuesday, June 26:

  • The 11 a.m. House session will include votes on four proposed constitutional amendments – capping the state income tax rate, requiring photo identification to vote, expanding the rights of crime victims and shifting the power to appoint people to various state commissions from the governor to lawmakers.
  • The Senate has only one local bill on its calendar, but more bills will likely be added Tuesday.
  • The House Rules Committee at 9:30 a.m. and the Senate Rules Committee at 2 p.m. are expected to debate appointments of judges and other state personnel.
