Three injured in I-95 wreck near Smithfield

Three people were injured in a wreck on Interstate 95 South in Johnston County around 3 a.m. Tuesday.

Troopers say a tractor-trailer crashed into a car that was going too slow. Three people in the car were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities charged the truck driver with failure to reduce speed and the driver of the car with reckless driving.
