Three people were taken into custody after a fight at a school bus stop in Raleigh on Thursday afternoon, police said.

Two juveniles are charged with affray, and Ahmad Barnes, 16, is charged with assault and trespassing, Wake County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Phyllis Stephens said.

Witnesses said the fight broke out at a bus stop for Ligon Middle School on the corner of Haywood and Lenior streets around 2:30 p.m.

"No students in attendance at school today were involved in the fight," Wake County school district spokesman Greg Thomas said.

Between 15 and 20 students were treated after pepper-spray was used to control the crowd, Stephens said.

Stephens said the fight is still under investigation, and more people could be charged.
