Three arrested after attempt to drive truck with drugs onto Seymour Johnson AFB

Three people face drug and trespassing charges after they tried to drive a rented truck carrying marijuana and methamphetamine onto Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

Three people face drug and trespassing charges after they tried to drive a rented truck carrying marijuana and methamphetamine onto Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

Goldsboro police were called to the Slocumb Street Gate on May 29 at approximately 4:45 p.m. There they found three people inside a U-Haul van that had been leased May 25 and had been due back May 26.

They saw marijuana inside the truck and, after a further search, found smoking pipes, methamphetamine precursor chemicals and a large pit bull. The dog was taken to the Wayne County Animal Shelter.

The suspects – Camille Renee Allen of Plattsburgh, NY, Bennie Harold Taylor Jr. and Roman Kintner – each faces charges of first-degree trespass, possession of controlled substance Sch. 2, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and possession of precursors with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine. Each suspect was being held on a secure bond of $35,500.
