The FBI is offering a reward of up to $40,000 for information that helps solve the mystery of Christina Bennett, Rhonda Jones and Megan Oxendine's deaths.

The Lumberton Police Department and the FBI announced Thursday they are still working to solve what led to the deaths of three women between April 2017 and June 2017.

On April 18, 2017, Lumberton police found Rhonda Jones and Christina Bennett a few blocks apart.

Authorities found Bennett, known by her family as Kristin, inside a house at 505 Peachtree St. She was 32 years old

Jones, 36, was found outside a house at 702 E. 5th St.

On June 3, 2017, the third woman, Megan Oxendine, 28, was found outside a house on East 8th Street.

"The Lumberton Police Department and the FBI continue to prioritize solving the deaths of Kristin, Rhonda, and Megan," Lumberton Police Chief Michael McNeill wrote in a news release. "Though nearly six years has past since the first two victims were discovered, this is not a cold case.

"We continue to actively develop and follow leads. We will utilize every possible resource to uncover the facts. These women deserve justice and we will not stop until they get it."

McNeill wrote how law enforcement agencies are trying to determine when Jones, Bennett and Oxendine were last seen alive.

"This is a tight-knit community who look out for each other, if you have information and have not spoken to us, please reach out," McNeill wrote.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $40,000 for information that helps solve the mystery of the women's deaths.

It's a $10,000 increase from the initial $30,000 reward the FBI offered in 2018.
