On Tuesday night's knockout rounds, Kannapolis native, Kameron Marlowe was given a second opportunity to advance in the competition after losing his round.

Marlowe sang a rendition of Bob Marley's "I Shot the Sheriff" in an attempt to show that he could do more than just country music. His risky attempt backfired when he was out preformed by Dave Fenley's rendition of "Stuck on You" by Lionel Richie.

But his efforts to show his versatility paid off in the end when he was stolen by coach Adam Levine. Levine mentioned that Marlowe's desire to branch out of country music was the reason he decided to steal him.

Marlowe is now a member of team Adam and will compete in the live playoffs.

Another exciting performance that occurred earlier in the night was a battle between two powerful male vocalist from team Jennifer Hudson (also known as JHUD).

Franc West's Rendition of "Call Out My Name" by the Weekend went head-to-head with Tyshawn ColQuitt's cover of "Pillowtalk" by Zayn.

Tyshawn received high praises for his high notes but was still unable to knockout his competition. ColQuitt was sent home but not before he brought each of the coaches a piece of his families well known pound cake.

In total two contestants went home and Marlowe was the only steal of the night.

To see who else will advance in the competition, tune in at 8 p.m. Monday on WRAL-TV and NBC.
