On Monday night, the judges finalized their teams through the seventh round of auditions on NBC’s “The Voice” and began the battle rounds.

Coach Adam Levine was the first to complete his team, with 16-year old Emily Hough from Petersburg, Illinois.

Hough sang "Big Yellow Taxi” by Joni Mitchell, and Levine and coaches Jennifer Hudson and Blake Shelton turned at the sound of her angelic voice. She ultimately choose Team Adam.

The last contestant was Matt Johnson, a man who has auditioned for all 15 seasons of "The Voice."

Johnson's determination finally paid off when Hudson turned for his rendition of "Never Too Much" by Luther Vandross. The singer completed Team Jennifer Hudson (JHUD), the last team that needed to be filled.

Then the battle rounds began.

Celebrity advisers Keith Urban, Halsey, Ceelo Green and Thomas Rhett helped the coaches prepare contestants for what could have been their last appearance on "The Voice" stage.

The first battle was between Cody Rae and Sandyredd, two powerful and soulful singers from Team Kelly.

The pair sang "Cry to Me" by Solomon Burke. During the performance, Sandyredd pulled out expert level vocals, and Rea really dug deep to add some depth to his voice. The two left Clarkson screaming "yessss," but the final winner of the battle was Rae.

Chicago native Sandyredd "took it home" by joining the team of a fellow Chicagoan Hudson.

Another impressive steal of the night was after a battle between Colton Smith and Patrique, two members of Team JHUD. Patrique won the battle, and as Smith was beginning to walk off the stage, Shelton stole him in an emotional moment for the new member of Team Blake.

Tuesday night continued the theme of hardcore battles and impressive steals.

One of those steals was after the battle between Natasia Greycloud and Mike Parker, two members of Team JHUD. Parker and Greycloud sang “Gravity” by John Mayer and amazed the coaches. Both singers showed off their vocal skills, and the coaches took note.

Parker won the battle, but Greycloud was quickly stolen by Clarkson.

Later on in the night, Anthony Ara was stolen from Team Adam and joined Team JHUD.

Tune in to "The Voice" Monday night at 8 p.m. on WRAL-TV and NBC to see who will reign victorious or be stolen as the battle rounds continue.
