Teen arrested in connection with Durham shooting death

Durham police on Wednesday arrested a 16-year-old teen wanted in connection with the shooting death of a 35-year-old man early Tuesday at a home on Mordecai Street.

Durham police on Wednesday arrested a 16-year-old teen wanted in connection with the shooting death of a 35-year-old man early Tuesday at a home on Mordecai Street. 

Authorities arrested Kerry W. Graham Jr., of 1315 Morreene Road, at the Red Roof Inn on N.C. Highway 55. Graham has been charged with first-degree murder and first-degree burglary, police said. 

Police say Graham and another man forced their way into the apartment of Carl Anthony Presley, at 3307 Mordecai St., around 2:30 a.m.Tuesday and shot him.

The apartment complex is near Duke University, but police said no students were involved.
