North Carolina has quite a few towns that end in “ton.” There’s Morganton, Burlington, Franklinton, Clinton, Allenton, Alton and Arlington to name a few.

But how many North Carolina communities end in "town?" I couldn’t think of that many. Ava Gardner grew up in Grabtown. I once dated a girl from Pfafftown near Winston-Salem. Elizabeth Gardner lived in Jamestown. I once attended a public hearing in Bladen County's Elizabethtown.

What are some other towns that end in town? Please share your knowledge of the Old North State and we will use these names on our Hometown Hello segment on WRAL News on Fox 50 at 7:10 a.m. and 8:10 a.m. Monday through Friday.

Also, can you think of an N.C. town or place that includes a nut? And what about peaceful names such as All Healing Springs and Angel Mountain? We are always seeking new themes for Hometown Hello.

Thanks for your help.
