SUV slams into north Raleigh pet salon

Authorities were investigating after an SUV slammed into a pet salon late Thursday morning.

Planet Poochie's, a pet salon located next to a Domino's pizza at 7311 Six Forks Road in Raleigh, sustained significant damages and broken glass.

According to officials, a woman who was delivering her dog to the pet salon was driving the SUV. Officials have not said what prompted the driver to lose control of the vehicle.

The woman's husband was in the passenger seat. According to firefighters on scene, no one was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

No animals from the grooming salon were injured, according to its owner.
