Surveillance video offers clues to 2 people found shot dead in car in Henderson

Police are looking at surveillance video from Gholson Avenue in Henderson as they investigate a shooting that took place there on Tuesday morning.

Two men were found shot dead in a car around 8 a.m. The video shows two people running from the scene.

Richard Clark said his wife woke him when she hear the gunshots.

"We don’t normally have that much trouble right here in this particular area," he said.

"Hopefully they’ll be able to track down what went on."

Police said the shooter was inside the vehicle when the men were shot. They are now investigating whether the shooting was connected to another incident that took place in Vance County last week.

Clark told WRAL News, "That’s very close to home. These are the times we’re living in, so you just have to be careful."

The victims have not been identified.
