Surgeon General Discusses Childhood Obesity in Raleigh

Acting U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Steven Galson was in Raleigh Friday to promote a national childhood overweight and obesity prevention initiative, “Healthy Youth for a Healthy Future.”

Galson met with officials and students from Barwell Elementary School and take part in a trail walk. North Carolina is the third state he will visit to promote the new initiative.
