Sun Country Airlines to move to Terminal 1 at RDU
The airline moves flights to Terminal 1 on Wednesday, April 17.
Sun County Airlines on Wednesday will begin operating out of Terminal 1 at Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
The airport said in a news release that the move is happening to maximize gate space in both terminals, accommodate airline needs and prepare for continued growth.
The Airport Authority is updating signs on the airport campus to let people know about the change.
Sun Country passengers who accidentally go to Terminal 2 can cross back through the parking deck to reach Terminal 1. The walk is less than five minutes.
Earlier this month, Breeze Airways also moved to Terminal 1.
Last year, RDU added four new airlines, 25 new destinations, 49 new routes and set a record for passenger traffic.
