STEM for Kids, the year-round camp program in north Raleigh, will offer programs in Wake Forest starting next month.

I featured Moni Singh, the local mom and CEO of the program, a few months ago. The program, designed for grade schoolers, features a variety of engineering-based camps from mechanical and environmental engineering to aerospace, robotics and computers and more.

STEM For Kids’ programs are designed by engineers and emphasize hands-on experiences to stretch kids’ thinking while reinforcing the 3Cs – critical thinking, communications and collaboration.

“Our focus is on making the programs accessible to children so more and more can explore the fun and hands-on side of science and math," Singh says. .

The program has a school giveback program for each registered camper. Last quarter, 13 local schools received donations. STEM For Kids offers track-out camps, summer camps in-school workshops and after-school programs.
