Stargazing events return to The Durham Hotel

Popular rooftop stargazing events return to The Durham Hotel this month.

The event series, titled Views from The Durham, kicks off Tuesday, May 10, between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. There are four other events scheduled this spring and summer: June 12, July 11, Aug. 8 and Sept. 12.

The event is hosted by Morehead Planetarium and Science Center, and telescope experts will be there to help stargazers get the best view.

May's event will feature snacks, craft cocktails and music from DJ Mic Check between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. The roof opens at 5 p.m. so guests can watch the sunset and take in the spectacular Durham skyline.

This event is free, and all ages are welcome. The Durham is located at 315 East Chapel Hill St.
