Many people in Apex have lost internet access and cellular phone service on Tuesday after a fiber line was cut.

Multiple Apex residents who use AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile reached out to WRAL News and reported disruptions with their service as they are unable to get online or make calls. Some have said that problems have persisted since Monday.

WRAL News reached out to AT&T for comment and the company confirmed a line was cut in the area, prompting the outage.

"We are working as quickly as possible to repair a fiber line that was cut by a third-party and is affecting wireless service for some customers in the Apex area," said AT&T's Sarah Holland in a statement.

Just before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Holland reported that service had been restored to all customers.
