How long have your State Fair fish lasted?
My Facebook page always gets a little fishy this week with pictures of over-the-moon kids and not-so-excited parents, who are leaving the N.C. State Fair with a new family member or two.
Goldfish are a big win at the Fair - at least for the kids. Once home, some go strong for years. Others, sadly, barely make it a week.
Either way, WRAL's Kathryn Brown posted a picture on Facebook of one of her daughters, taking in her family's newest family members. "Sent my husband to the N.C. State Fair with our son ... but forgot the explicit instructions to not return with any living animals... and just like that, we have more fish," she wrote.
