The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert early Wednesday for a missing endangered Raleigh man, James Richard Haile, 26.

He disappeared from a group home, Victory Healthcare Services Inc., at 3712 Summer Place.

Haile is 5 feet 7 inches tall, 160 pounds and has short, black hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.

He is believed to be suffering from a cognitive impairment.

Anyone with information about Haile should call the Raleigh Police Department at 919-946-3335.

Developed in 2007, Silver Alert is a system to quickly notify the public about missing endangered adults who suffer from dementia or other cognitive impairments, such as Alzheimer's disease.

It also allows caregivers and nursing homes to report a person missing. In the past, only a family member could report an adult missing.
