Silver Alert issued for Durham man
The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert on Tuesday afternoon for a missing Durham man.
Pythoon Anthony "Tony" Taylor, 34, is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.
Taylor is described as a black man, 5-foot-10 and 190 pounds with medium length black hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen at a home on Stoney Creek Circle.
Authorities believe he is traveling in a 2004 gold Pontiac Grand Am with North Carolina tag number SZL-1121.
Anyone with information about Taylor's whereabouts should call Durham Police at 919-560-0900.
Developed in 2007, the Silver Alert is a system to quickly notify the public about missing endangered adults who suffer from dementia or other cognitive impairments.
It also allows caregivers and nursing homes to report a person missing. In the past, only a family member could report an adult missing.
