Silver Alert canceled for missing Halifax man

A Silver Alert was canceled Tuesday evening for a Halifax County man, according to the North Carolina Center for Missing Persons.

Ryan Oneal Dale, 34, was believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

He was reported missing earlier Tuesday after being last seen at a Wachovia Bank in Rocky Mount.

Police said Dale was found at a rest stop along Interstate 95 in Nash County. He was okay and had run out of gas.
