Silver Alert: 78-year-old man last seen in downtown Raleigh

A Silver Alert was issued Tuesday for 78-year-old Gradie Smith.

Smith is believed to be suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's.

He is described as a Black man with short, black hair and brown eyes. He stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds.

He was last seen in the 400 to 506 block of Fayetteville Street  wearing a dark blue sweater, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
