Shots fired inside residence hall at NC A&T; two charged
Shots were fired inside a residence hall at North Carlina Agricultural and Technical State University early Monday morning.
University police are investigating shots fired inside of Barbee Hall, NC A&T said on X. Two people were charged.
The university said no one was hurt.
A single shot was fired through a wall and into a room with several students inside, according to a release from NC A&T. A student and another person were charged with felony possession of a weapon on educational property, among other charges. The other person, described as an acquaintance by the university, was also charged with felony firing a weapon into an occupied dwelling.
"We are very fortunate that no one was injured and that University Police Department officers responded quickly to take both individuals into custody," a university spokesperson said.
