Aaron Jovon Robinson was charged with three counts of attempted murder and one count of first-degree arson.

A man was charged with attempted murder after a Harnett County home was intentionally set on fire while the family was sleeping, according to deputies.

Harnett County deputies showed up at a home fire in the 3700 block of South River Road in Lillington on Saturday night around 11:20.

Investigators said siblings Raven Bynum and Aaron Robinson had argued Saturday night over the sale of the home. Robinson was visiting Bynum and her family at the family home that was recently sold.

Robinson used lighter fluid to set the home on fire while other family members were in bed, according to a release. He then left the property.

The family was able to escape the home with no injuries. Fire crews said the home was unlivable after surveying excessive smoke and fire damage.

Robinson, 36, was charged with three counts of attempted murder and one count of first-degree arson. He was held with no bond.

The American Red Cross provided help for the family members.
