Time is running out to weigh in on the future of downtown Raleigh and Shaw University.

Wednesday night, those interested can join a conversation on what's next for the school. University leaders are currently gathering feedback on what they'd like to see for new residence halls, a student center and other facilities.

University leaders said the redevelopment plan, also called Shaw U District, could help attract students and staffs.

Previously, the university filed a request with the city to rezone some of the university's property, which could make way for new development like high rises up to 40 stories tall.

Projects on campus could reshape downtown Raleigh since Shaw is one of the largest landowners in the area.
