The Johnston County Sheriff's Office has charged a registered sex offender with secret peeping after he allegedly captured photo or video images of two women at Walmart without their consent.

Kenneth Lawrence Dorn, 42, of Clayton, was arrested last week and placed in the Johnston County jail under a $25,000 bond. He appeared in court Monday on one count of felony secret peeping.

Dorn, who previously lived in Raleigh, has a long history of convictions on sex-related crimes.

According to state Department of Correction records, Dorn was convicted of indecent exposure and felony habitual misdemeanor assault charges five times in Wake County between 1995 and 2009. In that same time period, he was convicted three times on assault on a female, stalking and trespassing charges.

In July 2009, police arrested Dorn on sexual battery and habitual misdemeanor assault charges after he allegedly groped women while they shopped at a Harris Teeter and Walmart in Raleigh.

Days later, he was charged with felony habitual misdemeanor assault, misdemeanor sexual battery and indecent exposure in connection with two incidents in Apex – one at a park and another at a Target store.
