Wake County deputies responded to a reported drowning at Falls Lake on Saturday night.

The drowning occurred at Falls Lake in Wake Forest, near Ghoston and New Light roads.

Wake County Sheriff Gerald Baker said searchers and divers would continue to look for the man until about midnight.

"We normally don't stay out that late but we're trying to do recovery here -- that's what it looks like," explained Baker.

The search for the man was underway hours after two children and a woman were rescued from the Neuse River in Raleigh.

Raleigh police said a 12-year-old and a 15-year-old went out too far in the water, and their 26-year-old sister went out to help them and also got into trouble.

The three were rescued and transported to WakeMed Hospital, according to police, and are expected to make a full recovery.
