Award-winning chef Scott Crawford will open his fourth restaurant on Friday.

Brodeto, which is named after a coastal Italian and Croatian fish stew, is located at 2201 Iron Works Drive in the Raleigh Iron Works development.

The coastal European menu focuses heavily on seafood, in addition to vegetable and meat dishes from a wood-fired grill. All pasta is also made in-house. Crawford's signature whole roasted branzino is also on the menu.

“It's an honor to finally welcome guests to Brodeto," Crawford said via a press release. "This is a dream project – and another very personal restaurant for me – to be recreating the flavorful, ingredient-driven coastal cooking my family and I fell in love with on the Adriatic Coast. Bringing it to life here in North Carolina, where we have such pristine local ingredients and exceptional seafood from our own coast, makes it even more special.”

Brodeto will be open seven nights a week, 5 to 10 p.m., and will be serving dinner on Easter Sunday, March 31.

Reservations for Brodeto can be made online.

Next door, he opened French bistro, Jolie, followed in 2019. Two years later, Crawford Cookshop opened in Clayton.

Later this year, Crawford Hospitality is planning to open three more ventures including Crawford’s Genuine at RDU Airport, Crawford Brothers Steakhouse in Cary and Sous Terra cocktail bar in downtown Raleigh.
