Schedule released for Wide Open Bluegrass
Additional performers and the schedule for International Bluegrass Music Association's Wide Open Bluegrass festival were released Monday.
Tommy Emmanuel with guests Bryan Sutton, Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley, and Jack Pearson and Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeer have been added to the bill this fall. Also Sam Bush and John Cowan were added as guests of Leftover Salmon in The Wide Open Jam
The schedule for the ticketed portion of the Wide Open Bluegrass Festival, which takes place at Red Hat Amphitheater Sept. 28-29, was also released.
Friday, Sept. 28

- 3 – 3:45 p.m. Flatt Lonesome
- 4:15 – 5:45 p.m. “The TRUST” featuring Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Balsam Range, Lonesome River Band, Donna Ulisse, Chris Jones & The Night Drivers, Sideline, and Love Canon

Tickets are currently on sale, with a portion of proceeds going to the Bluegrass Trust Fund.
Wide Open Bluegrass also includes a free street festival.
Wide Open Bluegrass is part of IBMA's World of Bluegrass, which runs Sept. 25-29 in downtown Raleigh. The event also includes the IBMA Business Conference, the Bluegrass Ramble, an innovative series of showcases, the International Bluegrass Music Awards.
Organizers announced in May that the World of Bluegrass festival will remain in Raleigh through 2021.
