A South Carolina woman is pleading for help finding her pet monkey, who went missing in Morrisville.

Ann Smith said she was checking into the LaQuinta Inn at 1001 Hospitality Court on Thursday when a plane flew overhead, scaring Willow the monkey as Smith attempted to take her luggage from the car.

Willow ran away, through the parking lot, and has not been seen since, Smith said.

“She is missed so much by our family,” Smith said in a statement. “Her sister, Mikki, is a marmoset and misses her so much. This is devastating.”

Smith said she is offering a $1,000 reward for the safe return of Willow, but advised anybody who sees the monkey to avoid trying to catch her, as it will scare the animal.

Anybody who spots Willow can call smith at 864-979-8446.
