Saturday will be hot and humid with a good chance for afternoon showers.

According to WRAL meteorologist Peta Sheerwood, the morning will be dry and partly cloudy as Clear the Shelters kicks off.

Rain in the Triangle will be most likely around 2 or 3 p.m. "It will not rain all day," Sheerwood said. "We'll have gradual clearing heading into the evening."

In the afternoon, rain will be more prevalent south of the Triangle and along the coast, but showers are likely in the Triangle.

It will also be a steamy day, with a high around 91 degrees in Raleigh.

Sunday will be just as hot but drier, with a smaller chance for afternoon showers.

The work week will also be hot, with temperatures in the upper 80s and low 90s.
