Sanford adds a fireworks ending to the typical fall festival, capping a day-long celebration that includes music, art, food, shopping and entertainment. The Downtown Sanford StreetFest and Fireworks is scheduled for Oct. 14, 2023. The fun begins at 1 p.m. and lasts through the fireworks show that evening.

Sanford's Depot Park is closed, so this year's festival expands to include Steele Street starting at Gordon Street.

The main stage will remain at the intersection of Wicker and Steele streets and will open at 2 p.m. with local favorite Workin’ on Commission followed by country rockers The Megan Doss Band. This year’s headline band is Cat5, known of its mix of beach, classic rock, and party music.

A second stage will be located at the intersection of Carthage and Steele streets and showcase local talent including Danza Azteca Olin, Dancers’ Workshop, the Temple Teen Ensemble, Prime Time Dance Academy, LCHS Show Choir and Black Belt Leadership Academy.

Downtown shops will be supplemented by food trucks, craft and artisan vendors along the streets. Children can join in educational and interactive activities including a petting zoo, fun zone, balloon and LED hoop arts.
