Sanford man charged with sexually assaulting 9-year-old girl, police say

Police on Friday said a Sanford man was arrested and charged for sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl earlier this year.

Lewis Marvin Fulton, 35, of 1051 W. Courtland Dr., was charged with first-degree statutory sex offense and indecent liberties with a child, according to the Sanford Police Department. He jailed under a $250,000 bond.

Police said a report was filed alleging Fulton assaulted the girl in March and May of this year.
