Salvation Army to give out hundreds of meals Thursday to Raleigh families in need

The Salvation Army is partnering with hotel management company Concord Hospitality to give out meals to hundreds of families in need.

In partnership with the charity "Feed The Children," Concord employees will help give out food to 400 families in Raleigh Thursday.

Ellen Muir, the regional vice president for Concord Hospitality, said the need for events like these around this time of year is growing.

"The need is growing, unfortunately, within many of our communities," Muir said.

Each family will get a 25-pound box of food, a 15-pound box of hygiene essentials and other necessities.

This is the 15th year Concord Hospitalities has partnered with the Salvation Army for this drive.
