"Kill speed before it kills you," that is the message of a new campaign in Fayetteville.

It was announced Tuesday at Ben Martin Elementary School.

Joshua Griffin, 9, was a student there. He died in a Dec. 18, 2006, crash caused by a speeding driver on North Reilly Road.

The campaign urges drivers to slow down in school zones. Police say they plan to step up patrols in those zones as the new school year begins.
