Ronan is available for adoption at Safe Haven for Cats

Cat lovers looking for four-legged love will have a chance to adopt at a discounted rate during Valentine's Day weekend at SAFE Haven Cat Shelter & Clinic in north Raleigh.

The center will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 14-15, and cats will be available for $25 instead of the normal $95.

Each adopted cat or kitten is spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated and thoroughly examined by the veterinary staff.

Those who aren't ready to adopt can still lend a helping hand during the weekend by paying it forward.

Starting Feb. 9, the center will start taking donations to help offer adoptable cats free of charge to those ready to take one home. Once an adoptable cat is fully paid for, they will have a red heart placed on their cage.
