SC man charged in fatal shooting of 4-year-old Fayetteville boy

The shooting happened in Horry County, S.C. around 3 p.m. on July 4. Moody was taken into custody later that same day by Robeson County Sheriff's Office on Progressive Farm Road.

A man charged with murder in the death of a 4-year-old Fayetteville boy appeared in court Monday. 

Henry Tyrone Moody, 22, of Loris, S.C., is charged in the death of Carson Walker.

The shooting happened in Horry County, S.C., around 3 p.m. on July 4. Moody was found and arrested on Progressive Farm Road in Robeson County later that same day.

Authorities did not say what led them to suspect Moody of the crime.

An extradition hearing will be held on Aug. 6.

Moody was also charged with injury to property and resist, delay and obstructing an investigation in Robeson County.

He is being held at Robeson County Detention Center without bond.
