Get ready for another round of elections.

Residents of cities and towns across the region that didn't elect local officials three weeks ago will head to the polls next Tuesday.

Durham and Fayetteville, which held October primaries, will also hold elections for mayor and City Council positions. In Durham, Mayor Bill Bell is seeking his eighth two-year term, while Fayetteville Mayor Nat Robertson and former City Councilwoman will have a reprise of their 2013 battle, which ended with less than 300 votes separating them.

In Raleigh, a runoff will be held between businessman Dickie Thompson and public information officer Eddie Woodhouse for the City Council seat that covers north Raleigh. A runoff also will be held for the Cary Town Council seat that covers southwest Cary, pitting businessman Ken George against project manager Maria Cervania.

Early voting runs through Saturday.
