Rolesville High School dismissed students Friday afternoon after it lifted its code red lockdown.

Around 2:10 p.m. Friday, the school went into a code red lockdown due to a report of a weapon and trespassers on campus at 1099 East Young St. in Rolesville, according to principal Phelan Perry.

Law enforcement responded, caught the alleged trespassers and found no weapon. Perry said all students are safe.

The school lifted its lockdown at 2:55 p.m., Perry said.

During a code red lockdown, no one is allowed to enter the campus.

A large law enforcement presence has gathered Friday afternoon outside of the school.

Students appeared to be dismissed at 3:10 p.m. The school normally dismisses students at 2:18 p.m.
