Rocky Mount police charged Daniel Marvel Nicholson, 20, with first-degree murder after a man was shot in a gas station parking lot early Tuesday morning.

Antoin Lamont Lester, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said Lester was a passenger in a car at the Shell Food Mart at 1336 Raleigh Road shortly after 3 a.m., but he was outside the car when he was shot.

Police called it a "domestic-related shooting" and said the men were fighting over a woman.
