At the end of her 26 miles, a marathon runner composes herself.

Registration is now open for the Raleigh City of Oaks Marathon and the Rex Healthcare Half Marathon.

The races are Sunday, Nov. 2, in Raleigh. These races are popular and often sell out, so you might want to reserve your spot early.

Registering early also means discounts. If you register by Feb. 28, the marathon is only $70 and the half marathon is only $60. The Old Reliable 5K registration is $25 and the marathon relay is $150. The Kids' "marathon mile" is only $15. Prices go up as it gets closer to the race.

The 10K (6.2 miles) is open to strollers and baby joggers.

The marathon, half marathon, relay and kids' marathon start and finish at the same spot - the NC State Bell Tower on Hillsborough Street.

The 10K starts at the bell tower and finishes on Clark Street next to Cameron Village.

There will be a post-race festival nearby, runner photos, a children’s play area with face painting, a Runner Beer Garden and lots of carb rich food for the runners.

Find out more about the race, including volunteer opportunities, and register at the race website.
