Come join us for a great day of golf at the VIII Oaks Fourth Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Preston Country Club. This annual opportunity allows for camaraderie and networking with many great people and a chance to support a great cause. This year's proceeds will benefit The Miracle League of the Triangle, a non-profit organization which allows our local special needs children to participate in the great game of baseball. Registration is open for the 20th season of the Miracle League of the Triangle, a baseball league designed for kids and adults with special needs.

I featured Benjy Capps, the league's executive director, back in June. He first got involved in the program a decade ago when his son began playing. This is a wonderful program for kids, who might not otherwise get to be involved in a sport like this, to play ball and be part of a team.

Games are non-competitive and last about an hour. Teams are divided by age and grade levels and are never bigger than 15 players. During the game, coaches and buddies work one-on-one with the players. Miracle League of the Triangle's website has more information and registration details.
