A man convicted of sex crimes faces new charges after being arrested Friday by Raleigh police.

Jeremy Randolph Martin, 33, of 1420 S. Wilmington St., charged with three counts of second-degree exploitation of a minor after, authorities say, he electronically copied digital photos of young girls engaged in sexual acts.

Martin was in the Wake County Detention Center Sunday under a $500,000 secured bond.

According to the North Carolina Sex Offender Registry, Martin was convicted in November 2003 of two counts of second-degree sexual solicitation involving someone with a physical or mental illness.

He was sentenced to two to three years in prison and probation for those crimes.
