Recipe: Red, white and blue breakfast parfait

Temperatures are rising, and all I want in the morning is a refreshing breakfast to start my day off right. This recipe from FIT4MOM’s Body Well Nutrition Guide & Recipe Book is made even better when you use some delicious blueberries from one of the many U-Pick farms in the area. I intend to use my blueberry haul from Vollmer Farm in Bunn!

Red, White, & Blue Breakfast Parfait

Makes 1 serving

¼ cup fresh blueberries
½ cup plain yogurt - coconut or dairy-based (non-flavored)
¼ cup raspberries
⅓ cup raw slivered almonds
1 dash ground cinnamon

Add fresh blueberries to the bottom of a clear jar or small bowl.

Next, create a layer with yogurt.

Add raspberries.

Top with almonds and cinnamon.
