An easy, healthy and refreshing summer treat.

This is an off-week camp for my kids, who are enjoying some lazy summer days as I attempt to work from home. And, not only are they hanging out at home, a neighbor also is tagging along with us all week.

As far as I'm concerned, the more the merrier. Together, they keep each other busy and entertained. But I also had a few activities up my sleeve - such as making these frozen yogurt banana pops - just in case there was a lull in the fun.

I found these in this month's issue of Food Network Magazine, which lists recipes for 50 frozen treats. These are a lot like the recipe for two-ingredient frozen blueberries that I shared a couple of weeks ago. They also are fun to make - and a healthy treat on these hot summer days. We put our own spin on them. Here's how to make them.

Frozen Yogurt Banana Pops
Adapted from Food Network Magazine

Bananas
Wooden pop stick (or chopsticks, which I used)
Berry yogurt
Toppings - we used shredded coconut, mini chocolate chips and sprinkles. Food Network Magazine also suggests chopped nuts, granola and crushed freeze-dried fruit

Slice the bananas crosswise and, lengthwise, insert the wooden stick in each. Freeze for about three hours. I placed them on a small cookie sheet, which was layered with foil.

After three hours, dip the frozen bananas in the yogurt and top with the toppings of your choice. Let freeze for about another hour until the yogurt is set.
