Easy Lemon and Garlic Steamed Broccoli

Adapted from All Recipes

Two large heads of broccoli, about one pound
3 tablespoons water
3 teaspoons lemon juice

Butter Sauce

3 tablespoons butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons lemon juice

Place the fresh broccoli in a large skillet. In a small bowl, mix together the three tablespoons of water and three teaspoons of lemon juice. Pour over the broccoli, cover the pan and cook on medium until the broccoli is steamed. This took me about 7 minutes or so.

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium low heat, add the garlic and turn the burner down to low so that the garlic browns just a bit.

Once the broccoli is done cooking, drain the lemon water juice from the pan, toss the broccoli with another 2 teaspoons of lemon juice and the garlic butter. Serve.
